Mas dels Frares is in the region of El Pla de l'Estany, located in the heart of the province of Girona, and has good routes to the neighbouring regions, thus making easier for the tourists to visit the most interesting places in the province.

Also in El Pla de l'Estany, the guests may visit the caves of Serinyà and the lake of Banyoles, not far away from the house.

The region of El Gironès offers us the chance to visit museums, monuments and lots of cultural places in the city of Girona: the Cathedral, built in only one nave, the Jewish quarter, la Rambla or la Devesa.

Concerning the regions of Alt Empordà and Baix Empordà, the guests must visit the Dalí Museum, in Figueres (Alt Empordà), only 30 minutes away from the house, and also the Costa Brava, a wonderful seaside with high quality beaches where you will also find Empúries, a Greco-Roman site full of cultural elements from ancient times. Not far, the natural park of Aiguamolls de l'Empordà may be an interesting place to visit.

The region of La Garrotxa offers us the chance to visit its volcanic zone and also Besalú, a historical village only 45 minutes away from the country house.
